Brando

November 19, 2016 by

January 22, 2005/January 26, 2011

Our beloved Brando. A dog that loved life and had fun every day of his life. His boundless energy and sense of adventure inspired us daily and brought us great joy.  Although he fought a great battle, his courage to the end showed what great spirit he had.  His huge heart did not want to give up the fight, and he just wanted to stay, but his body could not.

He was always ready to take a trip, whether travelling to New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa or just Colorado camping trips here at home.  I loved our walks at dawn when we would go camping in the mountains.  On one occasion he got up first and decided to herd a cow and a calf moose through the camp.  He was always full of surprises!  He was great in the canoe as well, and loved to see the fish being reeled in.  He would never miss a chance to go to work with dad and have the opportunity to chase a few rabbits, and maybe get the chance to go swimming in the river on a hot Summer’s day.  He loved Frisbee, ball, and running along side bicycling.  He loved everyone and everyone loved Brando.  We always felt safe, protected and loved by Brando.  He was a brave and fearless dog. He made us smile by being silly, but mostly he just made us smile.  We were blessed to have you in our lives for six years, we just wished it could have been much longer.  We know that God must have needed you, to take you so soon, and we are looking forward to seeing you in heaven someday.  Thank you for making us better people for knowing and loving you.  We will always miss you.
